Winter Sports
Downhill skiing – Harrachov is a renown ski resort and lovers of downhill skiing and snowboarding will find themselves at home. Harrachov isn’t an Alpine resort, but it is ours! More information about ski slopes at Čertová Hora and Rýžoviště, prices, opening hours, ski rentals is found here. Or simply ask us!
If you get tired of the slopes at Harrachov, you can visit other ski resorts, as well, in the ski region of Harrachov, such as:
- Rokytnice nad Jizerou,
- Paseky nad Jizerou,
- Rejdice,
- Příchovice.
Cross-country skiing – Harrachov is a great starting point for cross-country skiing. On the one hand, there are 2 x 7.5 km race tracks, on the other hand you can find more than 110 km of groomed cross-country ski paths. These paths are located on the Krkonoš side, as well as on the Jizerský Mountains side, and they are also interconnected. There are also great cross-country ski tracks on the Polish side. If you decide to go by Regio-train to Jakuszyc, you won’t be sorry. The countryside on the trip back to Harrachov is breathtaking!
We’ll be happy to advise you on and recommend a suitable path.
Summer Sports
Mountain bikes – we are lovers of mountain bikes and the trails in this part of the Jizerský Mountains are beautiful. The cycle path from Jizerky na Smrk along the Czech side, or on the Polish side are suitable for any cyclist and you will certainly enjoy the beautiful countryside and the quality of the bike paths.
More proficient cyclists can set off on the singltrek pod Smrkem. See more about singltrek at www.singltrekpodsmrkem.cz. If you aren’t such a proficient cyclist or you have young children, you can get to one of the starting points by car.

A tip for you is that in Dvoračkách you’ll find not only spectacular view of the eastern part of Krkonoše, and of the valley of Rokytnice nad Jizerou, but excellent blueberry dumplings, as well! After a Krakonoš breakfast, you can drive back to Harrachov on a kick scooter – a most-fun experience. Or to go by foot across the Mumlavské water falls.
Some paths are suitable even for Nordic walking.
Golf – you might not believe it, but there is a golf course in Harrachov, with 9 holes. Take your golf clubs with you! More at www.golf-harrachov.cz.
Bobsled course / vertical park – and if you would like to spend the day in Harrachov just by walking, you can visit the bobsled course and rope centre. It is fun for adults as well as children!
You can even try your abilities on the outdoor mountain climbing wall with an overhang, in the very centre of Harrachov. The wall is 10 meters high and there are several different paths of difficulty. You can even find a swing and trampoline.
